Integrated approach to Technology in Education (ITE) was conceptualised and disseminated by Tata Trusts in 2012. This approach is a pedagogical framework to improve teaching and learning processes and foster authentic and project based learning for older children and adolescents in some of the most underprivileged geographies. Students, mostly first time computer users, create learning artefacts like weather charts, graphical representation of jute production in India or chart population density in different cities, to deepen their learning of content. All the projects assigned are carefully selected by the teachers and match with the curriculum and lessons taught in the school.
ITE is implemented in our school from 2016 by our teachers and we have Mr. Sofiqul Islam, Computer Teacher of our school who is the only ICT Course Certified Master Trainer in the district of Goalpara is engaged in implementing ITE and helping the students along with the other teachers of our school to make it as an important part of Education. Students found ITE a very good approach to improve their knowledge that help them in understanding the courses and topics of the book to compare with their real lives and lead their understanding knowledge upto creative level of Bloom's Taxonomy. Apart from Mr. Sofiqul Islam, ITE Facilitator & Resource persons from Tata Trust & GVM, Nalbari used to visit and Monitor the ITE implementaion in our school regularly. Presently we have Mr. Sanjib Das from Tata Trust & GVM, Nalbari as a ITE Facilitator and Resource Person. And we have firm believe that ITE is surely changing the way of education for the students to face and adjust themselves to the real world.
