Adarsha Vidyalaya Matia(AVM) is one among the 15 nos. of Adarsha Vidyalayas of Assam located in the block of Matia of Goalpara district of Assam. Adarsha Vidyalayas are popularly known as Model Schools of Assam which are operationalized under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA), Assam, A Govt. of India Mission from 1st January/2015.
Initially our school started with the classes I, VI and IX under the SEBA course from the academic year 2015. Now the school has classes I, II, III,IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX & X and already two batches of class X (2016 & 2017) have appeared in the HSLC-2017 & HSLC-2018 Examination and passed out with 100% success. And our school already affiliated to CBSE and started functioning the curriculum from 1st April/2017.
The school has the system for admission in the classes I, VI and IX only(initially) but now admission is allowed in Class I & VI only
The admission procedure for the school is purely based on an Entrance Test for the classes VI and based on an open Lottery System for the class I.
The School is located in an eco-friendly place which is perfect for the education system.
